Reliable Satellite IoT, Backed by a Verified Iridium Reseller

I have seen how Iridium runs the satellite network that reaches from pole to pole and certifies the modules and devices that use it. As a reseller GIT Satellite Communications turns that network into a practical deployment. Matching the right hardware to your assets sizing the airtime plan to how often they report, activating service before it ships and answering the phone when a device in the field needs help.

Why Buy Iridium IoT Through GIT

Verified Iridium Reseller

Authorized to supply Iridium Connected™ modules and devices and to activate SBD and IMT service on the Iridium network.

One Invoice, One Team

Modules, devices, airtime and billing all come in one quote. No need to chase separate vendors, for hardware, SIM and data plan.

Activated Before It Ships

Devices arrive provisioned and tested so your team can install them and start reporting on day one.

Support After Deployment

Real people for integration questions plan changes and seasonal suspensions.

The Challenge

Your assets do not stop when cellular does.

Wellheads, pipelines, farmland, forests and mine sites lie beyond where cellular and LPWAN networks reach. Without a data link faults slip by unnoticed equipment sits idle and crews drive for hours just to take a reading. The severe weather that you monitor can take terrestrial networks offline when an alert is needed most.

The Solution

Two‑way data from on Earth

Iridiums fully meshed low‑Earth orbit constellation covers the entire planet, including the poles. GIT supplies the modules, devices, airtime and know‑how to keep location, telemetry, alerts and remote commands flowing from any asset. As your link or as the satellite failover that takes over when cellular drops.

  • Global, pole to pole coverage
  • Low‑power hardware built for long unattended deployments
  • One partner for devices, airtime and support

IoT SOLUTIONS WE DELIVER

From a soil sensor to thousands of connected machines we match Iridium IoT services to the job your assets actually do.

Asset & Equipment Tracking

Location, operating hours and geofence alerts for machinery, vehicles and trailers. Including theft detection when equipment leaves its site.

Predictive Maintenance

Send fault codes, fuel levels, temperatures and vibration data so issues are caught and scheduled before they become breakdowns.

SCADA & Remote Monitoring

Telemetry and control for wellheads, pipelines, pumps and compressors with report‑by‑exception to cut airtime costs and extend battery life.

Environmental Sensing & Early Warning

Time‑critical alerts for floods, landslides and wildfires, plus water‑level and air‑quality readings from sites no network reaches.

Precision Agriculture

Soil, crop and weather data, irrigation control and silo or tank levels, across farmland too large to check by hand.

Lone Worker Safety

Two‑way messaging, scheduled check‑ins and one‑touch SOS help field crews who work alone and off the grid.

Gateway Backhaul & Failover

You can combine a sensor network onto one satellite link or keep data moving automatically when cellular service drops.

OEM & Custom Integration

Iridium modules and developer kits let engineers embed satellite connectivity straight into their own products.

The Right Data Service for Every Deployment

Who We Serve

Oil & Gas

SCADA from wellheads, pipeline leak and pressure monitoring, site security and technician safety across the well lifecycle.

Agriculture & Agribusiness

Field sensors, precision irrigation, livestock tracking and connected tractors and harvesters on acreage.

Mining, Construction & Heavy Equipment

Location utilization and fault alerts from high‑value machinery working in dusty, high‑vibration off‑grid sites.

Forestry & Land Management

Harvester and logging‑truck tracking, felling areas, wildfire and illegal‑logging alerts and crew check‑ins.

Environmental. Research

Telemetry from flood gauges, seismic and landslide instruments, buoys and climate stations in the most remote places on Earth.

Trucking, Fleet & Logistics

Cross‑border visibility of trucks, trailers and cargo with satellite‑enabled telematics that keep reporting beyond range.

Satellite IoT Questions, Answered

The questions that operations managers, engineers and integrators ask us often before they buy.

Will satellite work where my assets operate?

Iridiums low-Earth orbit network covers one hundred percent of the planet including the oceans and the poles so coverage is rarely an issue. What matters is that the antenna has a view of the sky and whether the asset is fixed or moving. We review your sites. Recommend hardware and mounting that will report reliably.

What data can I send from my equipment?

The device can send location information, operating hours, fuel and tank levels, temperatures, fault codes, movement events and other readings from the machine or connected sensors. The correct device and service depend on how much data must be sent and how often it must arrive.

Do I need an IP connection?

No. Tracking updates, alerts and periodic telemetry typically run on cost message-based services such as SBD or IMT. Remote access, diagnostics or images may require an IP connection. We will help decide which your application actually needs.

Can satellite work alongside cellular?

Yes. Hybrid devices can use cellular where it is available and switch to Iridium automatically when coverage weakens or fails keeping data moving while controlling airtime costs.

Will it connect to my existing sensors and software?

In cases yes. Devices connect to trackers, sensors, controllers and gateways through serial, Ethernet, analog or digital interfaces and data can be delivered into the existing platform. Including into AWS IoT Core through Iridium CloudConnect.

How do you choose the device and airtime plan?

Start with four questions: what must be monitored how much data must be sent how often it must report and what power is available, on site. Share those with us. We will recommend the hardware, data service and airtime plan that fit. All in one quote.
